Utah Fun With Kids

High Jump in West Jordan is the perfect place for kids of all ages to play, run, jump, climb, slide, and get all of their energy out. It is filled with different types of inflatable obstacle courses, slides, and bounce houses. The floor is soft and they have big tumbling mats perfect for little ones to sit and crawl on. There are two trampolines, a climbing wall with a big slide and tons of space to run around. There are big soft blocks of different shapes and sizes to build with and balls to play with. If you get hungry from all of that running around they have a small snack bar that sells drinks, chips, candy and pizza. High Jump offers tumbling and cheerleading classes and they also have themed rooms for birthday parties. Mon-Thur it is $9 for an all day pass. Fri and Sat it is $12 for an all day pass. Jordan River Rotary Park in Draper is another park I really like. This park is located at the Jordan River Parkway Trailhead. It is a perfect place to stop and play after a walk or bike ride on the trail. The playground is wheelchair accessible. The ramp also makes it easy for little kids to get on the playground without having to climb stairs. The playground has lots of slides and two swings. The park has 4 individual covered pavilions with tables to sit at. It also has clean restrooms. The address for this park is 973 W 12300 S Draper Utah.

Fall is my favorite time of year! My kids love the aquarium and so do I. Whenever we are feeling cooped up or the boys are getting wild and need to burn some energy we head to the aquarium and they never get tired of it. We have a membership and it is definitely worth it. In the heat of the summer it is relaxing to walk through the cool air conditioned exhibits and it is warm and cozy in the winter. There is so much to see at the aquarium. Some of our favorite exhibits are the otters, the jelly fish, the penguins, the leopards, the rope bridge, Nemo and Dory, the stingrays, and the sharks.   The best part for the kids is the Tuki's Island play area. The play area alone is worth the money in my opinion. The kids always have a great time and never want to leave. They have a huge multi story play area for big kids. For me one of the best things about moving to Salt Lake county was being able to get a Salt Lake county library card. If you live in Salt Lake county and don't have a library card you should go get one right away. With your library card you are able to check things out from all 18 Salt Lake libraries. Between all of these libraries you can find pretty much any book, movie, t.v. series, etc you can think of. The best thing about it is you can do it all online. Just go to their  website  and create an account. Once you have an account you can find whatever you want to check out and request to hold it. Once you request to hold something they will send it to the library of your choice to be picked up and then they will email you when it is ready. This makes is so quick and easy to just pick out anything you want online and then go in and pick it up when it is ready without having to search the shelves for anything. Calling all super hero fans! This amazing live show will be coming to the Maverik Center in Salt Lake from September 28th 2017 to October 1st 2017. This is my new favorite splash pad for two reasons. First it has a huge covered pavilion with about twelve big tables so you can sit in the shade. Second it is small enough that you can see the entire thing from the shaded tables so you can watch your kids the whole time without having to move. We like to bring our lunch and eat and then I can feed the baby while keeping an eye on both of the older kids. They have clean restrooms with a diaper changing station. There is also a playground on the other side of the pavilion. You can see the whole playground from the tables as well. Riverton City Park is our favorite park. This is a huge and beautiful park with so many things to do. This park has so much green space to run and play any sport or fly a kite on a windy day. There are several covered pavilions and clean bathrooms. This park has three separate playgrounds. There is a small splash pad for cooling off in the summer. Tennis courts Pickle ball courts A sand volley ball court. A skate park. Basketball courts. This park truly has is all. Every Friday this month starting at 6:00 pm there will be a farmers market, food trucks and an outdoor movie playing in the park. Here is the movie schedule.
